Duncan Schiedt’s photograph collection
figured prominently in the Ken Burns’ PBS Jazz
series.
Now Schiedt’s own photographs
and text are featured in his new book:
Jazz in Black and White: The Photographs of Duncan Schiedt.
Taken over the course of more
than half a century--on stage and backstage-- intimate portraits of America’s most famous jazz musicians fill this coffee
table book.
Schiedt will be on-stage at the Chatterbox for his book sale
and signing
8 – 9:30 pm
[with appropriate jazz accompaniment, of course].
Chatterbox proprietor, David Andrichik, calls Schiedt’s

perfect overture to the Indy Jazz Fest.”
The Chatterbox Jazz Club,
an Indianapolis jazz institution, with a 22-year history of it’s own, is located at 435 Massachusetts Avenue, downtown
Indianapolis.
Jazz in Black and White: The Photographs of Duncan Schiedt, will be available for
purchase the night of the book-signing for the list price of $34.95.
